Introduction
Gday Everyone,My name is Glen and I own and operate Sidler Online.I am 43 and live in Darwin Australia. My life has been rather interesting to say the least; I actually describe it as colourful if anyone ever asks. My working life started at a very young age (10) working on farms then getting a job with a Drover walking cattle out on the stock routes. This was only for about six weeks as they (the government) made a rule that you could no longer graze cattle on Crown Land.After that I started working for racehorse trainers doing all of the stable work, I did this until I was 15 years old. I was then old enough to start riding in races. Horses horses and horses I just loved it but unfortunately I always had problems with my weight and just before my youngest son Morgan was born 14yrs ago I retired from race riding. See my picture’s there is photo of me. I continued breaking and training and riding work right up until the year 2000. I still have a semi active role with horses but obviously I have needed to pursue other avenues to make some money. Always being fairly handy with the tools mainly welding I set up a contracting business and did a lot of building work mainly on remote cattle properties, fencing, yard building and sheds, equipping bores you name it I did itOK how did I end up here?I had a rather nasty accident back in 2001 and during my recovery period (nearly 1 year) I started playing around with computers and learning things that I missed out on earlier in life when I should of been at school instead of the racetrack. I enjoyed it so much it has been a dream ever since then to establish something like what I am doing now. I also started learning how to repair computers and did quite a bit of work in this field and I am still available to carry out the odd job or two if anyone in my area needs my services.Racehorses are a big part of my life and although not so physically active with them you can have a look at this link http://www.thehorsehound.net it is a site I run more as a hobby than anything else.
